With a lot of effort by many people (especially Ken) Laura, Ken, and Charlie got moved into their partially furnished townhouse in Arnold, MD, just outside of Annapolis. We slept there on the 22nd and after that it was go-go-go to get the place organized. Laura remained on bed rest all last week and between Ken, my sister Debbie, and me, we got the place whipped into shape. Laura found a great little babysitter right away (someone Ken works with gave her a list - bless him!) who amused Charlie every morning oudoors. (Bless her!) It did not help that the woman who owns the place left it in need of a good cleaning, including the carpet and rugs. That is all done now, the baby's clothes are put away, Laura has a scrapbooking area, and everything else is mostly in order.
Nothing but hard work and exhaustion since July 10! And did I mention the unbearable heat and humidity every single day?!?!?!?
Last Friday, I packed Charlie up and brought him to the beach. It's been a busy week. His favorite activities are playing with the stones in our driveway and playing in his little pool which we put out on our deck. It has really been just too hot to be out and about and he is not crazy about the sand. It is so much fun to just WATCH him --- his little games, his babbling. He has been "allowed" to get a little friendlier with Isaac this time...Isaac no longer runs away and Charlie is very sweet and gentle with him.
Some photos from this week:

Everyone should go in the pool in their pajamas, especially if it is 8:45 AM!

Genius! (He lined up his Sesame Street dominoes)
