Christine has been asking for another cat/kitten for years. Maybe if we get one the staring at her food dish is all Edie will do. I am afraid of major cat vengence!

Can't remember if I told you this....but when Haley was born, Garth, our red doberman, was about 6 months old. He was boisterous and loved to jump...like over the couch. We were a little worried about how he would react to Haley.

When I was in the hospital, Hurley brought home one of Haley's hospital blankets so Garth could get the scent. When we brought her home and she was sitting in her car seat carrier, Garth came over and sniffed around her. She had fallen asleep, so I took her out of the carrier and put her in her bassinette. When I came out, I saw that Garth had put his bone in her car seat. I think it was a welcome gift.

From then on, he was devoted to Haley. If she was in the crib crying and I wasn't going to get her out, he would run in her room, then run out and look at me like, "Hey...what are you going to do about this?"

And as for those vicious dobermans? I have a picture of Haley at about 14 months, laying with her head on Garth's stomach drinking from her bottle.

Now, when Rory came along, Garth was a little older. He seemed to react like "oh no...not another one." He was never as devoted to Rory. And when he wanted to chew on a toy, he would only chew on Haley's toys...which is why Haley's baby doll, Lucy, has no fingers.

I love Charmer's preppy collar!

I cracked up at the picture of Isaac guarding his food bowl. From the looks of his girth in that picture, I don't think he's been sharing his food too much!
